Dear friends:
We’re writing to share the sad news that our beloved friend Bette Hoover has passed away after a yearlong battle with cancer. Her passing was peaceful while surrounded by family in person, and bathed in light from friends all over the world.
In according to her wishes, we’re planning a number of opportunities to celebrate her remarkable life.
On Saturday, August 26th we’re opening up Eden Valley from 3-6pm for an informal gathering. No plans, just community. Please bring photos that we can turn into an art project. Bring a beverage if you like. This will be very simple.
On Saturday, September 2nd, we will have a memorial service at the Sandy Spring Friends Meetinghouse in Sandy Spring, MD at 2:00pm with a reception to follow. The service will be held in the manor of friends (Quaker). The reception will occur in the community space on the grounds.
