We haven’t posted because 2022 started with hope.  For several months Beth was living without pain and the tumor was shrinking.  During this time Beth enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In May a scan revealed a new tumor in Beth’s lung.  And as if she didn’t have enough to handle, covid found her and she spent the beginning of June recovering.  Once strong enough, a new chemotherapy treatment plan was formulated to go after the inoperable lung tumor and the original mass.  Beth endured many scans, tests, procedures, treatments and trips up to the Cleveland Clinic, including four hospitalizations since July.  And through it all, she was steadfast in her belief that she would win her fight.

On October 12th, Beth became very ill and it was discovered that the tumor had perforated her colon and created a large pelvic abscess.  She was rushed to Cleveland for an emergency abdominal surgery during which it was also revealed that the tumor had spread to other areas of her stomach and organs.  Beth survived the risky surgery and was in the hospital to recover.  As the days wore on, Beth experienced some recovery setbacks.  After two weeks, Beth and family decided it would be best for her to come back home.

The evening of October 27th, Beth returned  to Windsor Medical Center and she was surrounded by family and friends for the remainder of her days.  She cherished the many wishes of encouragement she received from everyone, and knew she was loved.

Thank you to all of you who supported Beth during her battle.
