Berell’s Story

Site created on July 14, 2018

I'm a two-time breast cancer survivor now on my third journey.  I'm hoping to be a beacon of light and hope for someone going through the same thing.  I know that God is in control. He will never leave me nor forsake me. - Amen

Journal entry by Berell Truitt

Whew!!! It's been a rough week but I'm still here. Low energy, no energy, places to go things to do.  It can wear you out.  I had a meeting about the podcast on Monday, chemo on Tuesday, was supposed to have physical therapy on Wednesday but it was cancelled (and not by me), traveled on Thursday to Quantico, Virginia with my son-in-love to see my oldest daughter graduate from the Department of Justice Academy on Friday.  The weather was not good on Thursday. Traffic was horrible so by the time we reached our destination, all I wanted to do was to lay down.  Friday, before the graduation, I got sick to my stomach...uuuuggggghhhhh!!!!!  Needless to say, I was elated to make it there for the graduation but I was definitely not up to par.  Thank goodness Shaun found a wheel chair for me because there was no way I would have made the walk to the auditorium (it was way too far).

Tomorrow I have chemo but I'm not looking forward to it to be honest. I have doctor's appointments everyday this week except for Friday (it's going to be a long week). Please pray my strength in the Lord, I need it right now and I'll be sure to pray for you too!!!!
