Journal entry by amber wilson

We have sprung out of the Hospital. She was discharged this afternoon a little after 3pm. We made it home around 4 pm. Her blood cultures did come back positive so that is why she spent an extra night. She got extra fluids and IV antibiotics to help fight the infection on her blood stream. They also did additional testing to see what antibiotics would be the right ones for her to fight the infection. We got all the meds figured out and headed home.
She says it feels good to be home and to take a shower. Now just to rest, stay hydrated, take in nutrition and listen to her body. It will take some time for her to be back to 100% but the health team is confident she will get there with time.
The Hospital staff were amazing and kind. The RN we had today was very caring and went through everything step by step with mom and stressed the importance or fluids and nutrition especially with starting treatments in the next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately we did have to cancel today's appointment in Madison but it is already rescheduled for next Friday.
Thank you have all the text, calls, and prayers. We greatly appreciate it all.
