Journal entry by Mike Prejean —
For the first time, we were able to put Becky in the shower seat. Using the faucet only, she was able to wash herself with flowing water. We also cleaned her incision for the first time – very fragile, but it looks good.
She walked in the outside hallway for the first time. The “shower” and longer walking with the walker made her feel more normal and sleep better.
The P.T. came yesterday. That was her first post-operation medical contact. We leave Monday, her Atlanta brothers and son, and Delta friends will take over.
She can get up and move around slowly with her walker by herself, but you have to be with her in case she falls – which would be a disaster.
She has been read every text, email, and card from y’all and greatly appreciated them all. It hurts her eyes and head to read too much.
