Journal entry by Jennifer Altwegg

Mom passed last Friday morning.  It was peaceful.  I know Jesus was there to usher her into eternity and we look forward to seeing her again.  If you have any uncertainty about death or questions about her relationship with Jesus, please go ahead and converse with someone you trust or even myself.  It is such a bittersweet moment for our family.  We will miss her so and yet we know she is not suffering anymore in body or otherwise.  This was one thing that she emphasized in her last weeks.  There is no pain in heaven.  And also that she was to tell people He was God--  which meant He was not like anyone or thing we have experienced on earth.  He is not of this world.  He is simply not like it.  Limited to our own experience we gravely underestimate His "otherness" and greatness and goodness.  He is love and all love originated with Him.  And the only way to the Father is through the Son, Jesus.  Jesus's sacrifice was necessary to pay the debt of our shortcomings and rebellion against God.  He accepts all those who come to Him through Jesus and adopts them as His own children into His family.  It is His great delight to be a Father to His children.  Love you and I look forward to seeing many of you at the service.  Have a beautiful day.
Jennifer

I'm going to add a comment here...although all the good news above is true, it doesn't lessen the sadness.  I so appreciate all the kind words and will take all the comforting offered.  :)
