Newest Update

Journal entry by Rebecca Rydell

The past 3 weeks have been a whirlwind of meds, treatments, med changes, extra Dr visits and not feeling so well. After three treatments of chemo with only tolerating one, I had severe allergic reactions to the other 2...very scary. So my Oncologist has decided to stop the chemo completely. She said theres a couple other options but the reactions would be worse with them. Especially for my heart. She says the risks are not worth putting my body through it again, plus theres been no benefit so far since they had to be stopped so quickly. We need to move forward with a treatment I can tolerate. I have mixed feelings, its one thing to be allergic to something, you avoid it and all is good, but being allergic to something that can save your life is a bit discouraging. But with faith in my Lord, a brave heart and a kick butt attitude.....on to the next step....a month or so of radiation and then 5 years of endocrine theropy. Hoping all goes well......I will keep updating. Thank you for your prayers.
