Beau’s Story

Site created on October 24, 2023

One day after announcing that my wife and I were expecting our second beautiful baby, I received news that I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 3B Esophageal cancer. This comes after an endoscopy that took a surprise turn when my doc found a 3 centimeter tumor at the bottom of my esophagus at the GE Junction.

The “C” word tends to drum up a lot of chaos and while I am a drummer, drumming up fear or anxiety isn’t really my thing. My intent is to share this information with friends and family so that I can have the support I need to fight this battle.

I’ll happily accept any and all prayers as I move forward with the to-be-determined treatment plan and whenever you can, please pray for my wife, daughter, unborn baby and amazingly supportive relatives, as they carry on and carry me through the journey. With Gina and God by my side I feel strong.

Love you all. Let’s kick this cancer’s ass. (Sorry Mama.)

Newest Update

Journal entry by Gina White

Surgery time.

We arrived at 5:30, got Beau registered and he’s now in pre-op. Once he’s prepped and ready for surgery, we can go back and visit with him for a bit before he is brought back.

Long day ahead. I’ll keep updating when I can.
