This journal entry is long over due. Barry is still inpatient at MSK. They have finally found 2 medications which are successfully treating the symptoms of his GVHD. Unfortunately he has lost alot of weight and the long term high prednisone doses have caused severe muscle atrophy and weakness; especially in his lower extremities. He is currently being tapered off of the prednisone, and getting daily PT. It has been very difficult for Barry (and me😪) to deal with. He can’t be discharged to home until he can do more on his own. We are hoping to have him home for the holidays💙
