Journal entry by Barbara Teutsch —
Things have been pretty busy around here since I was discharged from the hospital. On the 1st I had my 4th chemo treatment, 12 more to go. I've been fighting a lot of side effects, mostly stomach problems and extreme fatigue, and my body is struggling to maintain the levels of nutrients that I need. My oncologist adjusted the dose of chemo that I'm getting, so hopefully my body can adjust as well and we can continue. In the meantime, James and I spend most of our time driving back and forth to Fremont to get me IV nutrient replacement and blood transfusions.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who helped with or donated to the Simmer Down drive thru dinner fundraiser. It's humbling to witness just how amazing our support system is. ❤️
Wednesday marked one year since my diagnosis. Some days it feels like everything has gone so fast, but looking back on the past year so much has happened.
If you are planning on ordering a Support Squad tshirt, just a reminder that orders are due tomorrow, April 12th by 10am.
As always, we feel your love and your prayers, and we are sending ours back to you!
