Barbara’s Story

Site created on June 9, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

A few months ago, Mom/Barbara went to her normal check up and they found signs that something was wrong with her breast.  Don took her to get a mammogram and other tests.  These were sent to SCCA and it was determined that she did have breast cancer.  The cancer has been identified as Invasive Ductal Carcinoma which is an aggressive type of cancer.

On June 9th, she will see 3 doctors at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.  She will see Dr Ben Anderson a Surgeon, Dr. Natasha Hunter, an Onocologist - Chemo, Dr. Janice Kim, a Onocologist - Radiation.  We will also be discussing the treatment plan.

We would greatly appreciate your prayers as we walk through this with Mom.  She doesn't seem to be in pain and is her normal cheery self.  We are so grateful for that.

Thank you,
Barbara's family
