Journal entry by Amy White

From Heidi:

Happy Thanksgiving - So I am with Laura right now - Trent Tara Logan and Scott are on their way -I flew into Charleston last night and Laura and I prepped some food for Thanksgiving - then we went to The Old  Exchange / The Provost/ Dungeon - it is one of three  of the Freedom Halls in America - we will have Thanksgiving here on Weds  as Tara -Trent - Scott and Tara’s sand partner Logan are driving from OH today - I do have one history walking tour scheduled for the family - lol - on Thursday we will drive to Clearwater Florida from my sister’s to the  East Coast championship for sand volleyball.   It will start on Friday and go through Sunday.  Scott’s brother from Tampa will come and see us on Saturday so that will be awesome.  Aidan unfortunately had to stay behind to work at Target  because there are Blackout days and he didn’t wanna get fired. My health is stable. The cancer in the pubic rami bones has not grown.  I feel fine if not tired.  In December I will have a doctor look at my thyroid, because last year at this time I was supposed to get my thyroid out  due to suspicious cancerous cells but the Stage 4 squamous cell metastasized and took priority.  My hope is that with all of my chemotherapy and radiation that I had this year,  maybe that threat has gone.  I am helping to coach Trent’s volleyball team and am enjoying myself.  It is actually nice being an assistant and just helping the boys with their skills.  I will be doing the skills sessions at Southwest one day a week for Tara.  I am fortunate for the blessing that I am capable to share in this experience.  I am looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season with my family.  I am grateful that with all the donations we have been able to keep things normal for my children with college and volleyball - this time last year I was in dire straits and I am so happy to be on this side of the soul to enjoy the moments
