I know we’ve had fewer updates lately , that’s really just because things are progressing just slowly.  
Day 25
Bailey isn’t having a good day.
This morning they removed the final chest tube!!!
And she just went down for X-rays to see how her body is healing from the surgeries. ( check pins, and plates in hips,collarbone, arm)
Bailey had her staples removed from her belly this past weekend and they said it healed nicely.
The deep cut on her leg is healing as expected as well.
Her fevers have seem to finally go away!! It has been hard for body to control her body temperature. 
She is still battling the pneumonia , she should finish up her antibiotics Thursday.
Bailey is getting a little better each day with her voice box adapter. 
She has physical therapy that comes in and works with her daily . Really hoping to get more movement from her hands and feet. As of now she cans bend her fingers in and wiggle her feet. 
Baileys long term memory seems really well. She knows all her family members and knows her friends that have come to visit. She doesn’t have a very good short term memory. Bailey struggles with a lot anxiety, which is to be expected.
She has a psychologist that comes and sees to her. Dr says cognitively what she’s experiencing is to be expected with a TBI (traumatic brain injury.) 
She is completely off the ventilator but she still has her trach in place. They are slowly weaning her off of it. When she can get that removed it will open her options up for a better chance at a rehabilitation center. 

Mom and dad take shifts with her 24/7. As neither one want to leave her alone. She can’t move to hit the nurse button nor can she talk loud enough for someone to hear her if she needed a nurse. 

All in all each day is new day . We can only hope today is better than yesterday and take it one day at a time.
