Today has been 1 week since Bailey came home! It’s been a big adjustment for him. He said “it’s like I went to sleep and woke up and my whole life changed”.
Before that I didn’t fully grasp how difficult it would be if I was in his shoes emotionally.
Physically he is doing fantastic!!! He gets pretty tired easily and hasn’t gotten his appetite back yet but both these things will take time, we just need to be patient.
We have his CT and as well as his follow up with MN GI scheduled so we are keeping our fingers crossed that his pancreas is healing and blood clots are gone.
I will update once we get the results!
Jaxson is loving having Bay home and it’s so sweet to see how happy he is. Bailey even was able to go see 2 track meets! Although it was a bit much to walk that much!
It has been so so wonderful to spend so much time with him the last week. We have been grocery shopping and clothes shopping! It’s been wonderful to have sit down dinners together. We are taking care of all the things that he needs such as an eye exam and new glasses. We are still in the process of figuring out insurance for him but once we do, we will set him up with a primary care doctor and dental appointment.
Today was my first day back at work and my coworkers were so supportive and my anxiety slowly subsided!
