I know it's been awhile, I'm now 33wks5d. Life has been crazy hectic, and I've been dealing with a challenging pregnancy, that's taken a turn for the worse.
Wednesday morning (10/10/18), I went in for my normal check up at OHSU, and my blood pressure spiked to 166/109, and my Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor decided I needed to be admitted for testing to see if it was just my blood pressure rising, or if I had other signs pointing to preeclampsia (Which if you don't know what that is, it's not something you want during pregnancy. It can lead to seizures, stroke, liver and kidney damage/failure, and more. If you'd like to find out more information about preeclampsia -
https://www.preeclampsia.org/health-information/sign-symptoms).
Unfortunately, my results came back that I do in fact have preeclampsia, and since Baby Ty has severe congenital heart defects, they decided to be more conservative and admit me for good to the hospital. So until Baby Ty is born, I'll be stuck here at OHSU getting my blood drawn and vitals taken to make sure my preeclampsia isn't getting out of control. We're hoping to get to 36-37wks (Oct 30-Nov 6) before needing to deliver, so Baby Ty has time to grow and gain weight, but if I start taking a turn for the worse, it may need to be earlier.
Throughout all of this, Baby Ty has been looking good. He's been kicking and moving away, and passed every NST (fetal non-stress test) and BPP (biophysical profile) they've done. He's also turned head down finally, so hopefully I'll be able to have a normal vaginal delivery when it's time.
