Brianna’s Story

Site created on January 7, 2019

As we start this journey with baby Judd and his HLHS diagnosis, we wanted a place where we can keep our family and friends up to date, as well as ask for specific prayer requests.  Thank you for your love, support, and prayers along this journey!

Journal entry by Brianna Gray

Judd rested well last night and has been snoozing all day. Yesterday was a pretty rough day for everyone. He whimpered/moaned all day but today is much better. The team pulled his Arterial line overnight and pulled his chest tubes and pacing wires this morning. He’s also off oxygen, mostly because he kept pulling the cannula out and is doing fine without it. 😜

The goal for today has been to continue to keep him as comfortable as possible/manage pain.  Glenn head (which is due to change in flow from the surgery) is the worst the first few days post-op, so we’re trying to keep it as quiet and dark as possible in his room. He’s also pretty gassy with all the anesthesia and pain meds, so we’re thankful for good poops!

WE MOVED TO FLOOR 8 (step down floor). This is a huge step in getting out of here.

Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Thanks for all the prayers, love, and support. #keeppoundingjudd 💙❤️
