Last week, Aydrik had some blood work and CT scans at Mayo Clinic as a follow up to his surgery in December. After a discussion with his doctor, he was told that he is CANCER FREE ! He will continue to have routine CT scans and blood work every 3 months for the first year after his surgery to confirm this. As we continue to get good news with the scans they will then increase to once every 6 months for another year and then they will go to once per year for 10 years, so long as everything comes back negative. 

As far as the blood clots go, he had an appointment with a vascular doctor on Wednesday March 6th. The doctor explained that the CT scans show the blood clots dissolving which means he will not need to be on a blood thinner for too much longer and he has a very low risk of ever having issues with blood clots again.
