Journal entry by Kelsey Duchsherer

Yesterday was another great day. Ayce was unhooked from the vital sign monitors and we were finally able to pick him up and walk freely around the room. His lovenox levels continue to be out of normal range, so we met with the pediatric hematologist again this morning who decided to discontinue the lovenox injections and begin oral xarelto. They want him to take his evening dose tonight and his morning dose tomorrow and if all goes well, his central line will be removed and we will be discharged tomorrow afternoon!! After 11 days, we are so ready to be home and reunite our boys💙
