This is about our little warrior baby, Wyatt. I had severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum during pregnancy and lost a lot of weight. I was at risk of losing him. The birth was tramatic and I had an emergency C-section under anesthesia. He was born with a giant congenital melanocytic nevus and multiple satellites. Essentially, the lower half of his body is a rough, tumor like surface that needs continuous monitoring for melanoma. He's considered at risk for Neurocutaneous melanoma, which is cancer in his brain. So, he had his first MRI at one month and while he doesn't have brain cancer he does have Cystic Encephalomalacia (brain damage) from a stroke in utero. This will continue to be monitored to be checked for cancer or deposits. We found he has cerebral palsy and Hemiparesis due to this. He will have to constantly see dermatologists and neurologists now. But even still, he smiles. And that is the happiest thing. To see him moving and hitting milestones right now is something we will never take for granted. So, here is our strong, smart, happy baby. Wyatt 🖤
