Journal entry by Machala Brown

two days late because words are hard and looking back at pictures is even harder right now but celebrating you is not! I can’t believe you are TWO! Two of the best/yet recently hardest years of our lives but you make this journey easy! Your courageous smile, spirit and strength is unbelievable! The things you have gone through aren’t fair but we all know God has an amazing story written out for your life and the amount of people you will touch by the end of this will be worth it all!💕 Celebrating your 2nd birthday in the hospital of course wasn’t ideal but the amount of love you were shown from nurses, doctors, hospital staff, patients, patients parents and friends sending lots of deliveries made the day even more special!
Update on Blythe since it’s been awhile and lots are asking! She just finished another phase of treatment on Tuesday but unfortunately had to be admitted into the hospital the same day due to a fever. All test came back negative and they think it was a little virus that attacked her body due to her counts all being at zero!! We will be here for a while till they see her counts start to rise. Next up is in-patient chemo where she will be admitted into the hospital every 2 weeks for a week to receive high dose chemo! This phase is 2 months long! She is projected to start the week baby sister is due.
Prayer Request:
-For her counts to start rising that way we can go home for a few days before baby sister arrives!
- To give Dalton & I strength to navigate this next phase of treatment with a newborn.
