There has been a long anticipation of this very moment and we are having ALL the feels. We are beyond excited to finally be bringing home our baby girls in a week. But it has also come with some unexpected sadness of leaving the NICU. This has been our home, and community for the last 5 months. We’ve built relationships with the girls’ care team that is unlike any other relationships we have. They’ve walked with us in full knowledge of what life in the NICU is like, and helped us navigate through all the ups and downs this journey has brought. We are praising God for having these amazing people in our corner, and know they will always hold such a special place in our hearts. 

Both girls will be coming home with some oxygen, medications, and recently got gtubes put in so that we could take oral feeding slower until their swallow muscles develop. The medical care we will continue to provide feels somewhat overwhelming. However, we will have classes early next week and have a few days to practice before heading home. 

We would love prayers for:

- The girls would continue to do well getting back up to their full feedings after their gtube surgery. 

-To remain infection free through discharge and even as we navigate life at home. 

-Smooth transition to home life as the girls adjust to life outside the NICU. 

To all of you who’ve followed our journey, have prayed tirelessly for our girls and us, checked in, gave meals, gift cards of all kinds, and simply loved on us in varying ways-we truly can’t thank you enough. From the bottom of our hearts we are in awe of the kindness that has been poured over us. You all are a huge part of this journey as well and we are so so grateful.
