Journal entry by Jessica Davis

Busy Busy Important week! Aurora had her very first Physical Therapy appointment on Wednesday afternoon. We spent majority of the appointment talking with her new therapist and working on a few exercises to do at home as well. Her therapist was very nice and Aurora loved the environment there! Aurora has had a very hard time walking in long distances, and takes short strides almost a shuffle when she walks. I am glad that we are going to therapy because I do believe it's going to help her a lot. Physical therapy for Aurora will be weekly right now through December. Come that time if her therapist feels she needs more therapy we will change the timeline but for right now that is the length of time we are looking at.

Early Thursday morning Aurora had her 2 important procedures. As most of you know this week we were rounding the 30 day mark of her being on Chemo treatments. These procedures consisted of a Bone Marrow test on her hip and a Spinal tap. Her tests were sent out to John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for review and we hope to hear results by middle of next week. Results roughly take about a week to get. As we await a phone call we are asking for continued prayers that Aurora's results come back that she is Cancer cell free as of right now. The normal state after this phase called "Induction" would be that her body is Free of all Leukemia Cells which would then take us to the next phase of treatments which is called "Consolidation". She will be on Chemo treatments for at least 2 years as this ensures that the Cancer does not come back. So this is what we are hoping for so we can continue on the path we need to for Aurora to be cured.

Friday was Aurora's first day off of Steroids! (SO happy about this!) Although, it will take a little bit of time for her body to rid of the Steroids with her hunger and "roid rage". We hope that by early next week we start to see these changes more so. Friday, was the toughest day Aurora has had at home by far. She was in a lot of pain from the procedures and it was very hard to witness. But she's a strong girl and she makes me stronger every day.

Today Aurora had a very good day and I was so glad to see that she didn't have pain any longer in on her side. Although, she has pain and weakness in her legs when walking it was nice to see her laughing and smiling today.

This week Aurora has a FULL week off from treatments and only has Physical Therapy so we are excited for her to get a week off at home without treatments as we await news from the Hospital.

Thank you for your continued prayers <3
