Journal entry by Audrey Sabol —
Radiation therapy is finished. We had good results with the bleeding from the urinary tumor stopping. It was so encouraging. I was gifted with my radiation therapy bear, a program that Jan Cameron and I started years ago. Last week after much discussion, heart, and tears, we decided Hospice was our next step to go. As you probably have heard, I have been spending lots of time with Christie, Abe, and Zayden. And last week I was totally overjoyed by another surprise visit from Jeremy, Briana, John, and Josh. We haven't lost our joyful touch, we can laugh and be together. Generally, I have not been feeling well. The urinary bleeding has restarted, the abdominal pain has continued, and the fatigue and lethargy has worsened. So today is a new adventure day, we will be moving into the hospice house. If anyone wants to visit me and my family, we will be accepting visitors. The only thing I request is limited visiting times because I tire easy and need the rest. I am still graciously accepting thoughts and prayers as my prayer family has helped me on this journey. I am overwhelmed with joy by the outpouring of love and concern that have been sent my way.
As usual, I want to extend God's blessings to all of you and remember to always carry joy in your heart, that's where it belongs after all.
