Asher’s Story

Site created on August 2, 2019

Welcome to Asher's Caring Bridge Website.  On August 1, 2019,  Asher was diagnosed with bi-lateral Wilm's tumor.  This is a type of pediatric cancer that shows a tumor on each kidney.  As you can imagine this is a very scary time for Nadya, Mason and family.  Asher immediately started chemotherapy after diagnosis and will have chemo for at least 12 weeks with the possibility of radiation.  After 6 weeks of chemo the doctors will determine if the tumors are small enough to remove surgically.  If they are still too big they will wait until the completion of twelve weeks of chemo.    If you would like to bring a meal you can click on the ways to help tab and sign up under the planner.  We will be updating this site to keep people informed and also when there are additional needs.    Thank you for loving and supporting our family.  We appreciate all prayers and know that we have a big God that is in control of this situation.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Nadya Roberts

Hi everyone, I just wanted to update since I’ve been getting a few messages asking about Asher. He is doing amazing! He no longer has any heart problems. We just found this out the last week! His kidney is working great and he is excelling every single day! With that being said he has some delays due to his disease and his medical history. He is going to therapy every day of the week and has school at home for now! Asher is also no longer requiring supplemental oxygen! We are so blessed with all of you who have supported us and continue to support us. We are through the biggest hump of the hell  (excuse my language) we have been living. There are many more obstacles to overcome but we know that Asher will overcome them along with our family.  A few pictures because he is just too cute!
