Amazon.com, Inc. is an American multinational technology company based in Seattle, focusing on e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming, and artificial intelligence. It is considered one of the Big Four tech companies, along with Google, Apple, and Facebook. Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and has since expanded to a variety of products and services, including video and audio streaming, cloud computing, and grocery delivery. In 2020, Amazon generated $280.52 billion in revenue, making it the most valuable retailer in the world. Amazon is also the largest Internet company by revenue in the world. In addition, it is frequently ranked as one of the most innovative and customer-centric companies. While Amazon started as an online retailer, it has expanded into other e-commerce platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Kindle Direct Publishing. Amazon also offers a wide range of services, such as data storage, networking, artificial intelligence, and software development tools. Therefore, it can be said that Amazon is indeed an eCommerce company.
