Newest Update

Journal entry by Arielle Phylicia

Arielle was recently diagnosed with hyperemesis which is extremely difficult and debilitating for pregnant women. Every day is a struggle and she has to be careful with movement and lifting due to the IV access. Arielle spends most days throwing up a dozen or so times, in pain, unable to eat or drink on her own and keep it down.

Due to her restrictions (and how awful she's feeling), it's very hard for her to help with their only source of income, LuLaRoe. Alex, Ari’s husband, has taken over their business, is taking care of Ari, their 22 month old, and the house. Because of this, they have fallen very behind on their bills. They NEED this money by the end of the month, just to cover rent, Arielle’s much needed health insurance, food for her husband and daughter, and gas to and from the hospital, at the very least. Anything more would go towards utilities, diapers, and her medical bills.

Arielle’s condition worsened on Wednesday and she was admitted to the hospital, which is where she is now. We need Ari to rest and take care of herself and to not worry about money. She is having tests ran and had a PICC line placed yesterday, so that she can have constant IV fluids and meds at home.

Arielle will remain in the hospital until home health is set up. She will need constant IV fluids and meds and will be on bed rest for the duration of her pregnancy. She is only 20 weeks along.

With all of these bills to pay and a new baby on the way, we are asking anyone that can help, no matter the amount. Let's work together to help Arielle and Alex. It's what they would do for any of us!
