Journal entry by Betty Turner —
Cancer is a scary word—especially when it is your child who is diagnosed with it and the cancer is known to be aggressive and difficult to treat.
Today we went to a follow up appointment. The first thing Dr. Patel told Ann was since she responded so well to treatment and no cancer was found after the surgery, she has a really good prognosis with a very low percentage of the cancer returning. She will be seen every 3 months for the next year and then every 6 months for the next 5 years. She will alternate with an MRI and then the next time a mammogram. She will have her chemo port removed Aug31.
We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness for Ann and for our family. We give thanks to God for answering yes to our prayers.
