Ann’s Story

Site created on September 18, 2018

Hello Friends!

I'd like to ask you for your support with my upcoming open heart surgery this Thursday, September 20 @ 7:30 a.m. I have a heart murmur I've had since birth that has weakened both my mitral & aortic valves. My heart has been healthy and supporting me for 65 years & now it needs some help from me in the way of 2 new mechanical valves. * You can help me by visually wrapping me in a bright pink blanket with your love.* If you believe in the Power of Prayer, as I do, please say some prayers for my surgeon, the anesthesiologist, the nurses & all the rest of the staff that will be helping me. PLEASE send positive thoughts only and do not post any negative comments or horror stories on my page.

I understand that the average recovery time is about 6 weeks.

I do have a very close gal friend who is taking me to the hospital and staying during surgery & the first day of recovery. I will be at Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ for 5-10 days and then either to a rehab facility or home. Thanks in advance for your good wishes, positive thoughts & prayers. God is Good Always!!!

Myself or my good friend Julie Ryan, will try to keep this site updated so that all my friends that I’m so blessed to have will know what’s going on with me! 😍😄🙏

Journal entry by Julie Ryan

Juls here...I just wanted to update everyone with Ann's correct address as the one I provided last night apparently wasn't the right one.  She is in Room 410, but the correct address is Citadel Care Center, 5121 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa AZ 85206.  The Higley address is part of Citadel, as well, but it sounds like a pretty big place so it may take awhile for mail to get to her.  Also, if anyone is planning on going to see her, at least now you know the correct building to go in.  Blessings...
