Journal entry by Laura Crawford —
I know it has been a LONG while since I have updated!! We have had some low key, yet a little busy last 6 weeks. Kevin came to visit and mom was SOOOOO excited to have all three of her kiddos together. We missed having Sam, Ethan, and Lincoln here for the visit, but hopefully that is going to be on calendar soon! On September 16, mom finished her 3rd round of Chemo!! She was a true champ through it all! We all have definietly felt your prayers and love during this time. Yesterday, she returned to mass in person, for the first time since the end of May, and in her words "it felt so good!"
Today, October 3, she is having another bone marrow biopsy to determine if the chemo is working to decrease the number of leukemic blasts in her blood. Our prayer is that the blasts count has decreased and that her bone marrow and blood are creating new and healthy blood cells. It will take 3 - 4 weeks to receive the results of this biopsy. During this time, she will continue on her chemo schedule (5 days of Chemo, 3 weeks off, repeat). Thank you for your continued thoughts, love, support and prayers during this time. She if a fighter and we have seen it first hand throughtout this journey!
