I hope everyone’s new year is off to a wonderful start. I’ll lead with the good news….the trial is continuing to work well for me. I think overall my tumor marker has dropped 50% and I have had 30% reduction in my tumors.
This is more than my oncologist expected so we are all very happy with these results!
Unfortunately I have had pneumonia for almost 10 weeks which has overshadowed all the cancer stuff. I got a really bad cough a couple weeks before Thanksgiving and I still have it. It’s been 10 weeks of coughing, congestion, shortness of breath, fatigue and did I mention coughing? Ive been on 4 rounds of antibiotics which in turn gave me another infection last week, thrush! It’s been A LOT and feels like ground hogs day over here! The cold weather hasn’t been helping my lungs….I need to go sit in the sun somewhere and breathe the salty ocean air in!
I’m seeing another lung doctor in the next few weeks to hopefully get some more answers and start to feel better. In the mean time we hang on to the good news about the trial :)
