What I am about to type makes me feel such strong emotions I am certain I won't be able to portray it properly - but I am going to give it a shot.  Mom had a PET scan yesterday, and received those results today...(are you sitting down, if not you should - I wasn't when Ang called and that was an oversight on my part).  The scans are so much clearer than they were!  What does that mean?  It means that mom still has cancer within the skeleton, but they are greatly improved (not visible to the eye in the PET scan)!  Other areas of the body show amazing response to the treatment.  I know that amazing sounds like a word I would have chosen to associate - but I want to share a quote.  "Also, there has been an amazing near-complete resolution of the previously described mass present within the left breast". . Guys - AMAZING!!  Mom will continue chemo to keep the disease in check, but this is incredible news!  I don't think I am able to properly articulate the before and after PET scans - but they are night and day!

 

We are beyond beside ourselves!  Mom wanted to ensure that you all know we give a great amount of credit to our prayer warriors, and the people in moms corner.  There are still hurdles ahead, but for today, we give thanks and praise!
