Journal entry by Annette GRANT —
Mom is doing as well as she can be given the rough and tumble of the last couple of months; she suffers some short-term memory issues but otherwise seems quite herself. We keep telling her that the light is here and soon her friends will be too, by her side, telling her their stories and holding her hand to show her she is loved and remembered even though we could not be there in person.
Foyer St-Paul has begun the process of relaxing their visitation requirements and Eric is working on arrangements so that we can have those of you nearby go visit Mom according to the schedule provided by Foyer St Paul.
I have spoken to the Swiss Consultate in NYC. I am told that as of now only Swiss citizens are allowed to travel to Switzerland but I have submitted a special request to visit my mother given her particular circumstances. If anyone has any connections, ideas or inspiration, please do pass on :)
Many thanks and love,
Nicole and Eric and Gordy and Jennifer
