Mom was laid to rest on the 29th. It was a beautiful afternoon.  We had a private family mass at home in mom's favorite room, with her special treasures and Mary's statue, where mom lit a candle and quietly prayed daily.  It was a perfect setting because this is the room we gathered as a family every Christmas and spent happy moments together. I think mom wanted it that way.  Even upon her diagnosis she wanted us to be happy knowing that she had 90 wonderful years on this earth.  This world was so blessed to have her love for that long.  Even if she is not here on earth with us any longer, we still feel that love. A mother's love never ceases.  After the mass we went to the burial site for our final good byes. There was a light breeze with a whisper in the wind which made for a perfect day so it wasn't too hot.  After placing the urn into the ground we offered roses as a final farewell and blessing to mom.  We watched as the ground crew placed 2 cement barriers and soil on top ready for a layer of grass. Because of Covid-19 we were limited attendees and had to comply with the mask and 6 feet distance rule.  Despite the restrictions we feel comforted that mom is at peace and is safely home. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. And most of all, thank you for all the love you shared with mom and the love you've expressed to our family during this difficult journey.  Please continue praying as it was my mom's request.  Blessings to you all.
