Thank you, thank you, thank you, to every single person who has kept us in their thoughts and lifted up our family. Because Anna's brain MRI came back normal and her seizure medication had decreased the frequency of her seizures, we are all home together again.  As I write this, we have not observed a seizure in about 48 hours.  Hooray!!!

We still don't know what is causing Anna's seizures. In some cases, seizures in infants can resolve on their own as they grow. We hope and pray that will be the case for Anna. What we do know is that for the foreseeable future, Anna will be on medication to control her seizures. We need to administer that medication every 8 hours and watch her carefully to make sure she doesn't spit it up. We have a seizure action plan to know when to call 911 to get Anna help. And we have many follow up appointments as we work through the next chapter. 

I know I should be ecstatic and grateful to be home, but my heart still feels heavy for many reasons. I feel guilt I couldn't protect Anna from this, even though her doctors have repeatedly told us it was nothing we did. I am constantly nervous she is going to have a seizure. I'm in awe over the medical professionals that work with difficult situations day in and day out. My heart breaks thinking of the other families we saw in the hospital that were dealing with difficult situations and separated because of COVID-19.

All of these things will heal as time goes on, and I so appreciate you taking the time to support us and follow along. Documenting this really helped me, so thank you for support. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and we are going to finally celebrate Parker's birthday. I am SO excited :)
