Happy Easter!
Anna has officially been home for five weeks. There was definitely an adjustment period the first week we were home - we no longer had doctors telling us how much to feed Anna and when to increase that amount, or nurses caring for her overnight while we slept straight through the night. We were a little spoiled in that sense during Anna’s hospital stay! After the first few days at home though we were able to get into a good routine.
Anna still doesn’t love to eat, but most of the time we are able to muster through her feedings. We (Anna’s parents) are not picky eaters at all, so hopefully she outgrows this phase!
Anna had a check-up yesterday, and everything looks really well. She weighed in at 8lbs 14.5oz and is 21 inches long. Anna’s weight increased almost two pounds from two weeks ago, which is a good rate of growth for her! We will continue to monitor her weight gain closely, but her doctor is very pleased with her progress this far. She seems to be thriving now that we’re home - there’s truly no place like home♥️
