Deut. 31:8 The Lord himself goes before us and will be with us. He will never leave us or forsake us. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Well, Good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I’m going home tomorrow. I haven’t been home since March 2.  I am super excited but also a little nervous because of my physical condition (more on that later in the post).
Jesus tells us a parable in Luke 15 about the Prodigal Son. This man had two sons and the youngest told his dad that he wanted his inheritance now. So, his dad gave his sons their inheritance. The youngest son then packed his bags and left.  He squandered all his money on drinking and prostitutes.  He then found himself poor, in the midst of a famine. He found a job feeding pigs but he didn’t have anything to eat. He started thinking “my dad’s servants eat better than I do”. So, he decided he was going to go home and beg for forgiveness from his dad and ask to be a servant for him. But when his dad saw him coming he was filled with compassion and he ran to him and kissed him. He said to his servant “bring a robe and a ring and shoes for his feet.” He said “kill the best cow we have and let’s have a party.” For my son that was dead is now alive, he was lost but now is found. This is what God wants from us. Just a relationship. He shows us compassion and grace. He offers the free gift of salvation through his son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is accept it.

As I said, I am going home tomorrow. I am still not walking yet and have only been able to stand a couple times. But I am stronger and can do other things that I couldn’t when I got here like turning over in bed.  This is going to be a long journey but I am progressing as I should. I will have home health therapy and when it gets to the point that I can stand then I could come back to Lakeshore for more inpatient therapy. I will have an MRI in May to follow up on the abscess and the stroke. My platelets dropped again but as of yesterday they were already back up to83. So, they are recovering a lot quicker. My white count is low but it should eventually recover as well.

Prayer requests:
—that I am not nervous when I get home
—that I continue to progress as I should
— that I don’t get impatient
—that the abscess is cleared up when I go for the MRI
—for strength and endurance

Also, please pray for a dear friend of mine. She is having some health issues right now. Like I was 3 years ago, she’s used to taking care of everyone else.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!!
I love you all so much!!
