Journal entry by Angie Feuerstein —
I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life.
Psalm 42: 6c-7
Finally, 3rd and last surgery date! In one week on Friday, March 8, Dr. Williams will attempt to improve the imposition of breast cancer with reconstruction for symmetry. It’s a shorter procedure, only a couple of hours, drains will only be needed a day or so. Six week recovery then back to getting flexibility in my shoulders after sporting T-Rex arms a couple weeks. Whew, I’m eager to get this all behind me.
I marvel that I set up this Caring bridge post to share with you all such a personal topic. But here we are, full circle to completion, trusting for no more recurrence. I’m glad I have, it’s an opportunity for compassion to soften our hearts opening us to God’s grace and mercy.
We all traipse around in our earth-suits, caring for it, giving and loving through it, too often suffering in it. I’ve just given voice to a human season of struggle. Wherever you are in your season of struggle in “raging seas” know that God is faithful and never ceases to pour his unfailing love on you, even when unaware.
With a grateful heart for you and the goodness of God,
Angie
