Journal entry by Wesley Fryer

I saw this apron at Cracker Barrel today in St. Louis and, of course, thought of mom.

If mom had worn an apron at Cracker Barrel, she would have definitely been a “four star general !” :-)

I am looking forward to Christmas with our family this year, but of course, missing our mom and Nana.

We said goodbye a year ago tomorrow.

But not forever.

“End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.”

Gandalf via J.R.R. Tolkien

”Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”“

”Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”“

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
