Wow...so much has happened...
On March 23rd I took my 4th chemo treatment. On the 24th I had the Neulasta shot, then we headed to Baptist Hospital in Southaven. My dad was in the hospital with a blood infection and continuing heart failure. We visited, but I'm not sure he knew I was there. That night after we arrived back home, Amory took a hit from an EF-4 tornado. We were fortunate, as it missed us, but so many others were not as lucky. Saturday morning as people were waking to damage, I woke to a text that Dad passed away. The first man I ever loved, my hero, the best dad ever, was called home to be with Jesus. My heart was broken...but I knew he was not in any pain and could breathe freely again.
Fast forward--the week after chemo is hell week. Wednesday night I had to go to the ER for fluids because I was dehydrated. Thursday was visitation and the funeral. I had early visitation because of some sickness in the family, and I did not need to be around any illnesses.
So, here we are...Sunday afternoon. I have a busy week coming up. This week I am scheduled for an MRI, ultrasound, appointment with my surgeon, appointment with my oncologist, and appointment with a radiation oncologist. I'll update with more information as I find it out. Prayers are definitely coveted.
