Andy’s Story

Site created on June 17, 2020

I have a heart condition called Marfan Syndrome and earlier this week I passed out due to low blood pressure and heart issues. I created this caring bridge to keep family and friends informed, since family aren’t allowed in my patient room. I’m currently in the ICU, and feeling well but keeping a close eye on my heart. I love you all! Detailed updates below. ❤️

Newest Update

Journal entry by Andrea Stein

Just got done with my follow up at Mercy hospital with Dr Lim and Boston scientific.

My pacemaker is placed well, the wires are secured and it’s functioning as it should. The wound is healing on schedule and looks good too.

My pvc’s (irregular heart beats) have improved. They went from 35 percent PVC’s before surgery to now 4 percent PVC’s. So that’s good!

I still have some dizziness and light headedness but it’s definitely better than before.

My blood pressure was 100/60 which is good too.

My next follow up is in 4 weeks. Waiting to see if the ablation heart surgery is needed and waiting to hear if it’s covered by insurance.

I’ll let you all know if anything changes. Still taking it easy at my mom’s house with my new stuffed animal friends. ❤️

Love and hugs!!
