We had a beautiful send off for Andy after a perfect few days together with family and friends celebrating Andy!
In addition, in keeping with Andy’s giving spirit, we did the following:
1 - we donated his brain to the brain donor project https://braindonorproject.org, where it’s already been matched with and sent to a researcher in New York who is studying glioblastoma brain cancer with Andy’s particular markers in an effort to understand the treatment effects and work towards a cure.
2 - we created the Daughetee Family Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, where we have directed all memorials and plan to use the funds towards brain cancer research and to help with families traveling a similar journey.

By doing these things, Andy will be able to continue helping others!
Andy sends me a message each day in some way that he is ok. That gives me the strength to keep going, until we meet again someday. Until then, I know he’s “Dancin’ in the Sky”💕
