The month of April proved to be very busy for our family. Andrew had a birthday, and he is now an official teenager!!! We also participated in the ASK 5k - fun run, where he was asked to speak at the opening ceremony. He did a great job, and spoke in front of hundreds and hundreds of people without hesitation. Lots of proud moments recently, be is growing up and the mental health aspects are being managed well right now.
Today's oncology blood check went well, all blood counts remain stable and we can go back in 2 months...not one! Andrew was very happy to hear that news.
The bone density scan was very quick and painless, now we just wait for the oncologist and radiologist to review it. We should hear back from them by the end of the week to see if the hardness and density of his bones is also returning to normal.
When I mentioned today that I was going to update CaringBridge, Andrew was surprised that I was still doing it at all. In his mind things are all back to normal now, so we don't need it... After this post I'm going to respect his wishes, and not post again for a while unless he has a change in health status.
Thank you very much for all of your support and prayers, our new normal is slowly starting to feel normal.
