Andres and Jennalee’s Story

Site created on March 30, 2021

Friends, Family, and Church Family,

My name is Karis Miller; my husband, Pastor Chris, and I are close friends of the Jimenez family and ask for you to join us in prayer and support for this family. Whenever we receive news about the Jimenez family, whenever we have specific prayer requests or needs, we'll keep this site updated. If you would like to share words of encouragement or prayers with Andres or Jennalee, that is welcome; please do not send questions, concerns, or update requests to Andres or Jennalee. This site will give you all the details needed in this season. Between getting much needed rest, making hard decisions, consulting with professionals, Andres working, and parenting Elias, there isn't much time left for them to share updates personably to all the people they'd like to keep in the loop, which is why we have this site here.

Over the past few months, the Jimenez family have walked through a very trying season with many ups and downs, from finding out they were pregnant to being unexpectedly told to leave their home to various ER visits early on in Jennalee's pregnancy to moving into a temporary home in their parents' camper to finding out they have twin girls to now hoping and waiting these last weeks until the girls' lungs are fully developed. Through many scares, big transitions, and huge surprises, they have continued to reflect such grace, strength, and faith in Christ.

Let's join together in caring for Andres, Jennalee, Elias, and their two sweet little girls.
In Christ by His grace,
Karis

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." ~ Psalm 139:13-16

Newest Update

Journal entry by Chris Miller

Y'all, this is our last post... because EVELYN IS HOME!!! She's been home for one week now and is doing really, really well. We're thanking God that she's close to her Mommy and Daddy now, night and day! She's walking through so many wonderful firsts - first time sleeping in a crib next to her parents, first time meeting her big brother Elias (he absolutely *loves* her), first time out in the sunshine, first trips in a carseat, first time getting hours and hours with her parents with them getting to feed her and care for her, and more! And, Andres and Jennalee are walking through lots of firsts too - following a strict schedule to give her lots of nutrients for her to keep growing well, keeping an eye on her monitor, which she's hooked up to, navigating juggling her as she is still taking in oxygen, parenting 24/7 two little kids now. And, they're still in the process of finding a Rock Hill home, too!

There's still so much that they need prayer for, as you think of them in the future. Biggest prayer requests right now - Pray that Evelyn would continue to do well. Pray that the right doors would open for the Jimenez to finally be able to move into a new home. Thank you all SO MUCH for your prayers and for all your support during the last 4 months.

We'll conclude with a bit of Psalm 23, remembering Eden and the teaching on Psalm 23 that was shared at her service, and trusting the Lord with Evelyn, Andres, Jennalee, and Elias.

"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want... surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
