Good Evening, 

I had my consult with Dr. James Herman today. The plan is to start radiation the week of August 9 for five weeks everyday M-F.  Then after 3 months there will be a PET scan to see if radiation worked... It will be 6 months after radiation before reconstruction can begin.  So the journey continues.  Doctor told me fatigue and skin irritation will be the worst side effects. Pretty sure I can handle that after the horrific side effects of chemo. 

Lost a fingernail yesterday and I assume the other will follow soon. new nail growing underneath -  Hope all this gets back to normal soon. I have some fine hair growing on my head it is white with bits of gray.  Will finish short-term medical leave soon - going back to work on August 9. The distraction of work will be helpful to get through the next phase.
