Amy’s Story

Site created on December 6, 2021

After beating  breast cancer earlier this year, we found ourselves in another fight with cancer. This time with oral cancer of the tongue. We are heartbroken but have much hope. Join us in support, love, and prayer as we are in another fight against cancer together. Thankful for each of you along the way. God is faithful and is our healer!

A Message from our Family and Church:

Family and Friends,

Earlier today, God in His mercy delivered our precious Amy Smith from the shackles of her suffering into the comfort and glorious beauty of His heavenly presence. She is now resting in the embrace of Jesus.

The family deeply appreciates the heartfelt outpouring of love and prayer support throughout this difficult journey. The strength of that outpouring is built on her commitment to join Kelvin in building a church that loves people.

We will celebrate the beautiful life and long lasting legacy of Amy Smith on Tuesday May 3rd at 7 PM in the main sanctuary of Steele Creek Church. As plans are finalized for the service, details will be published at www.steelecreek.org/amy. The service will be live-streamed on this page and will be updated soon.

As we reflect on the heartbreaking loss of our beloved Amy, let us reflect on the things she dedicated her life to; loving Jesus, loving her family, serving her church, and impacting the world for God’s glory. He will be forever glorified in her beautiful fingerprints that remain.
