Amy’s Story

Site created on May 4, 2021

On Tuesday April 27th, Amy's whole world changed when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer. She was told she had a tumor on her colon, a small mass on an ovary and multiple metastasis on her liver.  Initially the prognosis from the doctor's did not seem encouraging but we sought out additional opinions from specialists and Amy repeatedly says she's not going down without a fight. We will be using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Amy Keller

It may be a rainy day but it is sunshine and rainbows from me today. I was down at University of Penn today to have scans and bloodwork to determine if the surgery in October followed by 4 rounds of chemo from November to December was enough.  And I am elated to say- it was!!!!  Today my scans showed no evidence of disease and my bloodwork was clear.

I can't tell you the relief I felt when my oncologist handed my the results of the Signatera test (the one that is super early detection and the one that indicated presence of cancer after my surgery in October). My oncologist was pretty happy too I think.

So now I spend the next 3 months living, enjoying and continuing my healthy living journey until the next round of scans.

Thank you so much for the support, love and prayers. I wouldn't be here without them!
