It is with a very heavy heart I have to add a final update to Amy's story.  This afternoon on April 21st, Amy peacefully joined her father (John Sr.) in heaven.  She leaves behind her two beautiful children (John and Laura), her Michael, her mother (Susan), her brother (John) and sister (Jennifer) along with many many friends who loved her deeply.
I had the honor of seeing Amy through this battle and she fought so hard with out ever giving up.  She was so determined, I didn't think the cancer would be able to stand a chance.  She was strong, optimistic and if you read her last post you would know she never lost her twisted sense of humor.  Unfortunately she had a very rare and aggressive cancer.  Despite enduring chemotherapy and high doses of radiation, the cancer was too strong and stole her from us.
Only a week ago my sister Kerry and I put together a GoFundMe for Amy to assist her with her medical expenses.  We were optimistic to think her fight would continue and the money would help ease some of her burden.  Instead of presenting the money to her, we will be presenting the money to her family. As someone who loved Amy so much I am so grateful for the generosity everyone has shown to her.
The world has lost a beautiful and courageous soul today and Heaven has gained an angel.  Please keep Amy and all those who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.
