Journal entry by Thad Balkman —
Amy was released from the hospital last night! The docs are still waiting on pathology to determine what is in the fluid but she’s got plenty of antibiotics, so she was cleared to go home. With the fluids that were around her right lung gone, she’s feeling much better. She immediately took a nice relaxing bath when she got home. Willie our dog enjoyed her hospital socks! Amy is still learning her limits as far as using her arms to support herself and lift things. And while it’s nice to not be in the hospital with nurses, docs and therapists constantly interrupting her sleep, it’s still an uncomfortable adjustment sleeping on her back in a recliner. Thank you Amy’s Angels for sitting with her while I’ve been at work, bringing meals, snacks and lots of love. We are blessed.
