Justin here, updating everyone in lieu of Amanda (for obvious reasons).

The surgery went well today. The three lymph nodes they took out were tested (mid-surgery) and were found to have no additional pathologies, which is absolutely the best news we could have hoped for. That means they didn't need to take any more lymph nodes than originally intended. In short, that lowers her risk of Lymphedema in the future. There will be a more detailed biopsy still to come, from what I understand. But that initial report was very positive for the day.

I saw her safely to her hotel room which was graciously provided for us for the next few nights. Her mom will be staying with her for maintenance and support during this most difficult phase of recovery, while I'm at home with the boys. Praise God for Barb and her willingness and ability to come across the country to take care of us in our time of need.

Amanda is in a fair amount of pain and discomfort, so that's our chief prayer request at this time. We have medication for her but that can only do so much.

The biggest need we have is for care for Asher during the day for the next couple days (Thursday Friday).  If you're able to help, you can sign up HERE. I have the times set from 8:45-1:45 daily, but any time at all (especially mornings) would be helpful so I can work. Amanda's aunt and cousin may be able to be here to help as early as 11am, if you can't do the full day.

Thanks for your help and your continued prayers.

Psalm 62:5-8

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
