Journal entry by Amanda Lefebvre

Hello friends,

I am happy to anounce that yesterday the 26th of July was my FINAL chemo treatment!!  🎉🎉  My numbers were a tad low but my nurse begged my doctor, I think the chocolates I took helped facilatate that call. 🤣  I have an appointment with my oncologist on August 5th, if I am feeling good and don’t have any adverse side effects we will set an appointment to have my port removed. 🎉  I will also meet with the radiation oncologist to discuss my next steps.  I talked to them last week and they still plan on 6 straight weeks of radiation.  I asked that we wait until Dale starts school, I would like to have a few days to have some fun with him.  I am hoping we can go to Sea World, the beach and a water park or two - just something fun for some good 2021 memories.  He has been such a big supporter and brought so much comfort to me this year that I would like to show him that I am on my way to being “normal” again for him.

I was able to ring the bell, it was not as exciting as I thought it would be but I suppose none of this has really been exciting.  However, it is one step closer to being Cancer Free!!  I am hoping the bone aches and muscle spams will be less than the last few times or at least quicker.  My left eye has gotten a bit more blurry, my oncologist said it may be due to nerves, this chemo can effect nerves but she would like me to go see the eye doctor again just ot have it checked.  I am sure it’s nothing, it is just really annoying and leaves me with headaches and feeling naucious, especially when I try to get on a computer and sadly it is effecting my puzzling.

Once again, Dale and I would like to send our THANKS to all of you for the love and support you have given us!  We are so very grateful for all of you and it really means the world to us.  Our hearts are so full with love and gratitude!  We can’t thank you all enough! ❤️❤️
